Rent Reporting Disclosure
Last updated: July 17, 2025
1. No Guaranteed Credit Score Increase
Reporting your rent payments to a credit bureau like Equifax does not guarantee that your credit scores will increase. The impact of rent reporting may vary depending on your credit profile, payment history, and other factors.
2. Multiple Credit Score Versions
There is no single "credit score." Lenders may use different versions of credit scores, and the score you see may not be the same as what a lender sees.
3. Timing and Visibility
Reported rent payments may take up to 30 days or more to appear on your Equifax credit file. Data is only submitted after verifying rental agreements, landlord identity, and payment records.
4. Consumer Consent
We report rent data only after receiving tenant consent. Consent can be withdrawn at any time by emailing us at [email protected].
5. Dispute Resolution
If you believe your rental data is incorrect, contact us. We resolve disputes within 10 business days, per our Equifax agreement. Email: [email protected]
6. Use of Terms
We avoid misleading terms like "fix your credit" or "guaranteed boost." Instead, we use accurate phrases such as "may help improve" or "can contribute to."
7. Rent Reporting Is Just One Factor
Credit scores consider various factors like credit utilization, inquiries, and payment history. Rent reporting is just one of many components and may not have the same effect on everyone.
